SEE GOD'S HEART WHO WANTS TO BLESS YOU
SEE GOD'S HEART WHO WANTS TO BLESS YOU
A lot of Christians think that God secures His blessings to His children is only about spiritual blessings but not physical blessings (health, financial, families, social, etc).
We feel secure about our eternal salvation as God's gift, but we believe that God's given us "survival mode/instinct" so we can get good life on earth.
Well, it's true that He blesses us spiritually, but out of that spiritual realms we can withdraw the blessings into the physical realm when we walk with Him even in this earth - let's see from His words rather than from man's teachings/religions/worldly wisdoms.
Regardless what trial we are facing /we've faced, God wants us to be healthy. We need to know that not all we experience in our life is all His will, we still need to deal with deceptions of the flesh & the devil, the enemies have build strongholds (what we believe) through what we've learned carnally & what we've experienced. God's will is revealed strongly through His words. Some undesirable things happen don't prove that that's God's will, it's just prove that the enemy comes to steal, kill & destroy, but God comes for us to have abundant life (John 10:10)
Scrap the idea that "anything happen in life is God's will". Read the Bible, God didn't want Adam & Eve to die (and the only way to die/lost connection from life) was to eat the tree of knowledge of good & evil, and they did eat it. How about Peter walked on water? Was it God's will? If not why Jesus said,"Come" to Peter? Why Peter did walk on water? But if it's God's will why he started to sink?
Colossians 1:9
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We have to learn by renewing of our mind to know the good, acceptable & perfect will of God, not just perceiving & concluding life by our carnal mind.
Let's put down what people teach & look at His words :
1. God wants us to be healthy :
3 John1:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers
Proverbs 3:7-8
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear (worship) the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones (physical).
Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely He has borne our griefs (pain : emotional & physical) And carried our sorrows (sicknesses); Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Psalm 103:3
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
2. God wants us to have long life :
Proverbs 3:1 -2
My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
Psalm 91:16
With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.
3. The Lord wants to be our provider :
Psalm 23:1 (Young's Literal Translation)
A Psalm of David. Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack,
Romans 4:13
For the promise that he would be the heir of the world (in this context is not about eternal salvation) was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Psalm 35:27
Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favour my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
People will wonder when we significantly prospers in all ways (not only in finance) supernaturally, and with this the Lord is magnified. True prosperity is not harmful.
This shouldn't be mistaken by greediness (just wants the blessing for self) which actually stem from insecurity & indulge.
4. And many other blessings we could find in His word
God loves when we trust Him because this will give Him consent/space to manifest His love to us. The problem is "carnal mind"
Our carnal mind will always try to find possible solutions in natural realms, where else walking with the Lord means trusting Him with His plan that the flesh might not understand it, be it a solution as "supernatural" or seemingly "natural".
Mark 8:16-21 NKJV
[16] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have no bread.” [17] But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened? [18] Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? [19] When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?” They said to Him, “Twelve.” [20] “Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?” And they said, “Seven.” [21] So He said to them, “How is it you do not understand?”
Q : Well, why then God put in us "survival mode"?
I don't think God's first intention for human is to have "survival mode", His intention is for Him & His blessings to provide what men needed.
It's just because we have "survival mode" now doesn't mean that's God's blue print. I believe "survival mode" appeared because of the fall of men as men were separated from God.
Psychology only studies "human psyches after the fall", it doesn't go beyond that. Before the fall there wasn't any death, hence there's no manifestation of death (falling sick, disease, weakness, degradation, and finally death) & hence no fear - there's no threat & lack back then. After that Eve & Adam partook from the tree that made them independent from God (they wanted to be like God, to life by their knowledge of good & evil - Genesis 3:4-6, while actually they were already created in God's image).
As you perceive your life with your carnal mind, your feeling might say to you that you're in "survival mode" & you have to use your "survival instinct" to live, you perceived you live in lack & threatening "world".
Nevertheless you can feel the feeling and doubt that it's the truth, trust that your heavenly Father guards your back. By trusting God's words we could fight the bullying of our mind & emotion.
It doesn't mean that you can't accept/acknowledge your feeling, or others don't accept your feeling (this seems to be the issue the worldly wisdom raise up), it's not. God loves you so much that's why He wants to free you from the "worldly thoughts" that at the first place cause your emotion goes haywire. Of course no one should judge you if you feel sad, hurt, condemned, shame, grieving, etc; at the same time what God's intention is to help you out from those emotion, not to make you excuse yourself to dwell there too long. Some of us have been through bad child-hood that our parents disallowed us to show negative emotions (I was conditioned that way), but I thank God that His intention is not to scold me to have feelings, He just wants to safe my feelings too by offering a new set of Kingdom mindset - it's different from the worldly thoughts (Romans 12:2).
Now when the force of the world is trying to make us believe that we are in "survival mode" (we live in lack, in danger, etc) we could se who we truly are in God's words, see His will in His words. Learn to trust Him (so far we've been learning to obey the "survival mode" perception to make us be in our own self-defence). Break the old pattern & old stronghold by cultivating new habit in the spirit, get to know who you are in Christ. You're not define by psychology that wants you to observe yourself (self-conscious), you're define by Who Christ is. God wants us to be Christ-conscious instead of self-conscious.
1 John 4:17
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment (challenging period); because as He is, so are we in this world.
Self-conscious is the result of partaking the tree of knowledge of good & evil, they started realising they were naked (Genesis 3:7), they tried to cover themselves (same verse), they distanced the Lord (hid themselves from Him, fear started as they felt guilty - condemnation creeped in into the world) (verse 8-10), they played blaming game - it means there's self-righteousness to be defended (11-13), and curses happened as consequences.
Romans 5:17
For if by the one man’s offence death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:12
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Guard who you truly are in Christ in the midst of the attack of the deception. Guard your true reality (you are in the kingdom of the Son of His love, abundance, safe, joyful, peaceful, lovely, hopeful, healthy, favourable, etc) in the midst of the deception that wants you to believe that you're in the kingdom of darkness (broken, dark, hopeless, threatening, etc).
Yes, you need "diligent, self-control, perseverance" as a tool to stand in faith against the evil darts, but don't worship "diligent, self-control, perseverance" by itself as human strength to be worship. We need to those to grow in our identity because there will be challenges against our real identity (worldly wisdom, temptations, flesh, etc).
1 Peter 1:2-9
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness (God kind of quality : love, wisdom, authority, power, etc), 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Even about "knowledge", what kind of knowledge are we attracted too? Is it about God & Jesus? Some knowledges we have to intentionally stay away from.
A lot of worldly knowledges/wisdoms get inspiration from God's word (Bible is the oldest book, and written by God Himself through many secretaries in the span of thousands of year), copy the principles, but change the centre from "Christ" to "selves" - a lot of "self-help" there. Please...don't be tempted by the sales-serpent/salesman to buy it, he knows how to associate with your emotion & even uses God's name in his marketing (Genesis 3:1,4). But God wants you to life, walk with Him.
The Lord puts Eve's story is for us to learn, Genesis 3:6 "So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.", yes it looks tempting...but God said in Genesis 2:16-17 “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
God wants us to live, the devil wants us to die. Choose God. As 1 Peter 1:2 says that grace & peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God & of Jesus our Lord, study God's word. The enemy is very subtle, they will show good intentions to us, they can associate with your emotion, gives sympathy, empathy and all your flesh needs, but the intention is for you not to see Jesus, either you see yourself, other people's or satan himself.
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places
2 Corinthians 10:4,5
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
It means there are things that our understanding (self) is doing our own things instead of trusting the LORD. Ask the Lord to show us in which area we don't trust Him yet and let Him train & deal with every of us lovingly. Building "your own understanding" hinders you from walking with Him. And the transformation is a journey, a lifelong process (it has ups & downs).
1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The whole point of Christianity is to bring us to the end of ourselves so we can admit that we can't, hence we need saving from the Lord. And the whole point of the devil is to empower you to become God at least for yourself first, you are more than enough by yourself even without Christ redemption.
As Christians we have to draw the line between the truth & the "luring deception, believe God's word rather than the world. We might swim against the stream, but it's worth to live appreciating what Jesus' done for us. Listen to teaching & preaching from God's word instead of human wisdom. God's more compassionate than any human you could think of (including yourself), He loves you more than anyone could do (including yourself).
I pray that the Lord blesses whoever read this with more faith in Him, in His redemption, not in human's effort. Realise that He wants to be involved in your daily life, daily necessity. Yes, there will be some challenges in the flesh, but the more you grow in the knowledge of Him the more you could trust Him in manifesting His love for you in the physical realm too. In fact He did what He did so that He could be Who He is for you (everything you need).
Get lost in His word (rather than in yourself), get to know Him (rather in your "flesh") to know who you truly are. There's safety in His words.
If you happen that you don't know Jesus Christ yet, you could pray to ask Him to reveal His goodness to you as His redemption is available for you too. He loves you so much even before you realise it. I believe there will be supernatural will in you to receive Him as Lord & saviour. When this happen just say to Him that you've accepted His invitation to be His son, say that you've received Him as your Lord & saviour. And as He's promised, eternal life is yours (John 3:16).
